Grant Programme now reopens to all Registered Charities!

Following the funding agreement secured with Lloyds Banking Group, we are delighted to remove the criteria which has restricted some charities from applying to the Foundation in the last year.

Now all registered charities, regardless of income are eligible to apply and the maximum request limit of £5,000 has been removed. However, the average grant will remain around £5,000 as it was in previous years.

If you have any queries regarding an application , please contact the Foundation for more details.

News Release

Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland announces income of £1.8m for 2010
The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland is pleased to announce its income for 2010 as £1.8m and is delighted to confirm that this higher level of funding will be sustained for 2011, 2012 and 2013. The independently run Lloyds TSB Foundations including Northern Ireland, England and Wales and the Channel Islands collectively received £28.189m in 2010 (£23.4m in 2009.)

The Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland offers support to organisations focused on delivering social and community needs, and on education and training.

Sandara Kelso-Robb, Executive Director of the Lloyds TSB Foundation for Northern Ireland, said: “We are particularly pleased to be able to continue to provide a high level of sustained support to those most disadvantaged within our communities. During the latest round of funding the Foundation allocated over £200,000 to 59 local voluntary and community organisations throughout Northern Ireland – these ranged from playgroups to maritime rescue to arts organisations. The next deadline for applications is coming up in April and we are urging all those eligible for funding to apply.

“I am also delighted that, given the more secure funding situation, the Trustees have agreed to remove the restrictions put in place last year. From 10th April 2010 there will be no maximum grant and no ceiling on an applicant organisation’s income level.”

The next closing date, April 9th 2010, however requires that applications can only be made up to a maximum of £5,000 and only organisations with an overall income of less than £250,000 should apply.

The next closing date for receipt of applications is 8th October 2010. For further information, please go to the Standard Grant Programme.
